How to Tie

FYI

* You will need a pair of sharp scissors and a container (a cup or bowl is fine) to catch your excess beads

*Do not remove the anchor beads at the ends until you have tied your first knot

*Do not cut right below the knots of your completely tied waist beads. Leave a tiny tail.

*Make sure you are not holding your stomach in during tying

1. Start by pulling the purple anchor beads on the ends

2. Place the waist beads where you want them to lay on your body as you would place a belt

3. Cross the strings where you want to tie them and let any excess beads fall towards the anchor beads

4. Loop (do not knot) the string twice to check placement

5. If you need to adjust, unloop and slide beads up or down thread

6. Once you are happy with the fit, make sure there are no gaps by pulling tightly, then tie one knot

7. Make sure you do not tie any beads into your knot

8. Now you can cut your thread over container. Make sure to leave enough slack to tie individual threads together to reinforce waist bead

9. Make several knots using the loose threads

10. Cut excess thread. Please be sure not to cut the knot you’ve created. There is no way you will have enough string to re-tie your waist beads if you do!!!

11. Once you’ve cut the excess string, turn until the knot until it is aligned with your spine and wear in good health and good intentions
